This six (6) piece Fuel Tank Mounting Isolator Set is a reproduction of the original style fuel tank isolator set. Replacing or adding the isolators can help eliminate noise or friction between the fuel tank straps and the body.

These isolator strips and pads serve to eliminate metal-to-metal contact to reduce vehicle noise, vibration and harmonics. Highly recommended whenever replacing the fuel tank or the fuel tank mounting straps.

Fitment Note

Note: This Isolator Set will fit 1967 to 1981 GM F-Bodies and 1968 to 1979 GM X-Bodies (rear wheel drive).

Isolator Set is composed of the following parts:

• Two (2) ea. 1-1/2" x 23" inch isolator strips for between the fuel tank and its metal mounting straps.
• Two (2) ea. 2" x 21-1/2" inch isolator strips for between the fuel tank and the trunk floor of the body.
• Two (2) ea. 2" x 5-3/4" inch isolator cushion pads for between the fuel tank and the trunk floor near the tank sending unit.

Installation Note

Note: Clean all surfaces prior to installation. As necessary a small amount of 3M yellow weatherstrip adhesive 96-8002-96 or 3M black weatherstrip adhesive 96-8581-96 can be used to hold parts nicely in place during installation.
